Salsa of Casola-Querciola

Unlike the Regnano "salsa", the area is affected by agricultural activities. The Casola area, among other things, is more contained than that of Regnano, although with a greater number of "mouths". It may not be easy to identify the outlets of sludge, fluid and greyish. In some pools of muddy water certain movements of the water are an indication of gaseous emissions. The surface surrounding the cones is arid and devoid of vegetation due to the high salt content of the mud emitted, whence precisely the popular name of "salsa".
